Job description

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Receiving and Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring the receipt and shipping of parts, taking into account the relevant documents.

Description of Activities and Responsibilities

  • Scan the serial numbers of each part shipped or received
  • Ensure the correct parts are received or shipped
  • Receive the merchandise and verify the quantity according to the delivery slip and the condition of the merchandise (in case of discrepancy or breakage, notify the claims manager)
  • Enter receiving and shipping information into the NAV computer system
  • Made shipments by transport or courier
  • Inventory : Place and pick materials for shipping or manufacturing, maintain inventory in order by respecting locations, participate in the annual inventory process
  • Maintain order in the department Receiving / Shipping
  • All other related tasks

Education

  • High school diploma

Experience and knowledge

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field

Skills (abilities and behavior)

  • Ability to manage time and priorities
  • Rigor and attention to detail

Specific Knowledge

  • Bilingualism required (English and French)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of transportation modes and customs systems
