Job summary

United Lumber Home Hardware Building Centre in Bolton, Ontario seeks a reliable Receiver to manage incoming shipments, inspect products, and maintain accurate inventory records. The role requires organizational skill, ability to perform heavy lifting, and coordination with vendors and store teams.

You will process documentation, ensure accuracy, and support stocking and safety in a fast-paced environment. Training on POS and systems will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or receiver roles preferred.
• Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting and physically demanding work.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and workplace safety practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with computer systems including Excel and POS.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming shipments safely and efficiently.
• Inspect items for quantity, quality, and accuracy against purchase orders.

Location: Bolton

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Receiverto join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving,inspecting, and processing incoming shipments while ensuring inventory accuracyand efficient product flow throughout the organization. This role requiresstrong organizational skills, the ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting,and excellent communication skills to coordinate with vendors, shippingcompanies, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming shipments safely and efficiently,including repetitive heavy lifting.
• Inspect incoming products to verify quantities,quality, and accuracy against purchase orders and shipping documents.
• Ensure inventory integrity by accurately receivingand recording products into the POS and inventory management systems.
• Process receiving documentation and maintainaccurate records.
• Communicate effectively with Yard and Store teamsregarding product locations, stocking requirements, and inventory needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and shipping carriers toresolve shipment discrepancies and delivery concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receivingarea.
• Follow company safety procedures and propermaterial handling practices at all times.
• Assist with inventory counts and stockreplenishment as required.

Schedule Expectations

This position requires flexibility to meet business needs,including:

• Aschedule that supports best receiving coverage including evenings (Storeclose currently 6pm)
• Weeklyhours of 32-34 hours as scheduled

Working conditions & Physical Requirements
