Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication in Canada is seeking safety-minded individuals to join our Cage Shop as Rebar Cage Fabricators. You and your team will tack weld, operate a cage forming machine, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars per customer orders in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include operating a Mig welder, overhead crane, and oxy/acetylene torch, plus assisting with loading and shipping.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding experience not required, however willingness to learn is a must.

• Unload trailers and store material in storage bins.
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
• Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
• Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management.
