Job summary

Procut Steel Inc. is seeking a shop worker to cut, bend and bundle reinforcing steel bars according to shop drawings. You will operate overhead cranes, a rebar bending machine and a shearer, and keep the work area clean and safe.

You will unload trailers, store materials, assist colleagues, and demonstrate conduct aligned with the company's vision and values while supporting fabrication and shipping tasks.

Qualifications

• Adheres to shop safety policies and procedures.
• Basic math skills to calculate bar measurements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes to move, assemble and select material.
• Operate rebar bending machine to shape bars.
• Operate shearing machine to cut bars to length.
• Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean, safe condition.

Duties and responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
• Operate a rebar bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specific shapes.
• Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
• Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
• Unload trailers and store materials in storage bins.
• Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Procut Steel's vision and values.
