We are looking for a Real Estate Specialist to manage and optimize our real property portfolio and assets. In this role, you'll lead strategic initiatives, high-value transactions, and stakeholder engagement to ensure our real estate portfolio supports organizational goals. This role is instrumental in enabling effective operations, delivering measurable outcomes, and driving continuous improvement across our real estate strategy.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and implement tactical plans for lease renewals, space optimization, and asset lifecycle management aligned with strategic goals.
  • Conduct asset optimization and benchmarking to maximize value and ensure competitive positioning.
  • Manage real estate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and licensing, ensuring compliance and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Draft, negotiate, and administer real property contracts, including high-value leases and amendments.
  • Provide financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Consistently model the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.

Your background and experience
  • A degree in real estate, business administration, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certification, such as a Certified Property Manager (CPM), Real Property Administrator (RPA), or a commercial property management license in Canada.
  • A minimum of 6-9 years (real time) of directly related experience in commercial real estate or commercial property management, including business planning, portfolio management, financial oversight, real estate finance, contract management, negotiations, and stakeholder relations experience.

Salary: $41.55 - $50.37 hourly
