Job summary

Spire Pacific Capital in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to review and underwrite commercial real estate debt and equity opportunities. You will build financial models, assess returns and risk, and prepare materials for the Investment Committee.

Reporting to the Director of Capital Underwriting, you’ll manage due diligence, coordinate with lenders and partners, and help sharpen our underwriting templates and CRM integration as we scale the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• 2–4 years real estate underwriting experience.
• BCFSA sub-mortgage broker’s license (company-paid).
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Analytical mindset with solid time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mortgage and equity opportunities, and prepare underwriting models.
• Read third-party reports and support findings with market intel.
• Present opportunities to the Investment Committee for review.
• Draft preliminary documentation for review.
• Coordinate due diligence and funding with stakeholders.
• Ensure loan administration data is in place and diarize milestones.
• Provide key reporting metrics to stakeholders on each opportunity.
