Job summary

Cadillac Fairview is seeking a Development Accounting Analyst for a 6-month contract in Toronto. The role covers development accounting, budgeting, funding drawings, and joint venture reporting across a portfolio of mixed-use projects.

You will map third-party managed projects, prepare journal entries, conduct monthly audits, and ensure compliance with IFRS and JV protocols. Strong Excel and Yardi Voyager skills are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with real estate development exposure.

Responsibilities

• Set up new pre-construction and construction projects in Yardi per CF procedures.
• Manage JV projects by mapping into CF accounts and preparing P&L and balance sheet reports.
• Prepare funding, loan draws, and equity reconciliations compliant with JV agreements.
• Review monthly progress, variances, bank reconciliations and ensure data accuracy in postings.
• Post project invoices, ensure tax compliance, and perform monthly audits.
• Support year-end tax and statutory financial statements preparation.
