Job summary

Cadillac Fairview is seeking a Development Accounting Analyst for a six-month contract in Toronto. You will manage development accounting, budgeting, construction draws, funding packages, equity cash calls, and detailed project reporting for a mixed-use portfolio.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting with real estate development exposure, IFRS knowledge, and strong Excel/Yardi skills. Starting base salary ranges CAD 61,610 to CAD 91,480, with a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• CPA designation preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience with 3+ years in real estate mixed-use development and property management
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting
• Excellent Excel skills (including advanced functions)

Responsibilities

• Setup new pre-construction and construction projects in Yardi per procedures
• Manage joint venture projects, mapping into CF accounts and templates
• Prepare P&L and balance sheet reports, variance analysis and reconciliations
• Post journal entries, perform monthly audits and rectify discrepancies
• Coordinate with Tax, Treasury and HO Finance to execute cash calls
• Produce monthly/quarterly partner reports and support year-end notes
• Review development invoices for tax compliance and proper coding
• Support closing of final project proformas and reconciliations
