Job summary

CPP Investments in Toronto is seeking an Analyst, Real Assets Credit to focus on real estate debt transactions across North America and to help scale the business. Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, real estate, credit or equity investing, or a related field.
• Strong research, analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to interpret findings and produce accurate analyses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distil complex information.

Responsibilities

• Support the diligence and execution of new investment opportunities by evaluating property, market, sponsor, financial, legal and environmental factors.
• Compile industry, market and property-level data and conduct financial analysis to support investment decisions.
• Develop and maintain financial models, perform valuation and cash flow analyses, review debt structures and underwriting parameters.
• Prepare investment materials for internal committees, including risk and value assessments and scenarios.
• Support portfolio management for existing investments, including monitoring asset performance and covenant compliance.
