Job summary

CBM Ready-Mix, part of Canada Building Materials (CBM) and VCNA, seeks a Sales Representative for the GTA region. This permanent full-time role focuses on building relationships with customers and promoting our ready-mix concrete solutions.

You will travel across the territory, respond to market conditions, quote prices, and collaborate with Inside Sales to keep literature and accounts up to date. A prior background in ready-mix sales and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in ready-mix sales, with CRM an asset.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Ability to read drawings and perform specification review for concrete.
• Valid G Class Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Promotes product usage and new products in the industry.
• Responds to territory market conditions and pricing strategies.
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for sales leads.
• Travels across the territory to solicit orders and nurture clients.
• Investigates customer delivery problems and resolves disputes.
• Liaises between operations/technical services and customers.
• Keeps budgets and expenses within approved limits.
• Quotes prices and credit terms; prepares sales contracts.
• Prepares reports of business transactions.
• Collaborates with Inside Sales to keep records and literature updated.
• Attends local and industry association meetings as a company representative.

This position is a permanent full-time vacancy.

Annual salary range:

$80,000.00-$85,000.00 – depending on experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with both existing customers and prospective customers.
• Promotes the use of product in the industry and promotes new products.
• Responds to and understands territory market conditions and pricing strategies to promote business.
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, commence sales tracking system or word of mouth.
• Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, serves and nurtures clients.
• Investigates customer problems with deliveries.
• Liaises between operations/technical services and customer in resolving disputes.
• Maintains budget and expenses within company-defined limits.
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Prepares reports of business transactions.
• Works with Inside Sales to keep account activities and literature up to date.
• Attends local and industry related association meetings as company representative.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of previous experience in ready-mix sales, with a focus on customer relationship management is an asset
• Post secondary education
• Excellent communications skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Ability to read drawings and perform specification review for cast in place concrete.
• Valid G Class Driver’s License
