Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, International Development, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in similar post, proven track record of project, events and volunteer management.
  • Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office, social media
  • English essential. Knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic/Urdu/Gujarati/Hindi/Punjabi an advantage.

  • Fundraising & Donor Relations – Support fundraising efforts by designing engagement initiatives that attract donors and sponsors.

  • Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure all outreach and fundraising activities adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Track and analyse outreach activities, measuring success against key performance indicators.

Position Overview

To play a key role in advancing Human Appeal’s mission by supporting the delivery of outreach and engagement initiatives through the Global REACH Community. The Reach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies that enhance visibility, accessibility, and participation, ensuring that Human Appeal effectively reaches and supports those in need. The Reach Coordinator works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to drive advocacy, inclusion, and impact, strengthening relationships and promoting sustainable engagement.

The salary range for this role is $61,000-$75,000 and this is a new role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement & Outreach – Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with target communities, ensuring meaningful participation in REACH programs. Actively engage with beneficiaries through events, campaigns, and digital platforms to promote awareness and accessibility.
  • Fundraising & Donor Relations – Support fundraising efforts by designing engagement initiatives that attract donors and sponsors. Contribute to campaigns by maintaining strong communication with donors, ensuring retention and long-term commitment.
  • Stakeholder & Partnership Management – Build and nurture relationships with local and national partners, including NGOs, businesses, and government agencies, to enhance REACH’s visibility and collaboration opportunities.
  • Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure all outreach and fundraising activities adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards. Address potential risks proactively to maintain operational integrity.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Track and analyse outreach activities, measuring success against key performance indicators. Provide insights and recommendations based on data to optimize future engagement strategies.
  • Administrative & Operational Support – Provide administrative support, including maintaining documentation, managing materials for deployments and events, and ensuring coordination across teams.
  • Event & Campaign Coordination – Support the planning and delivery of REACH events and campaigns. Help coordinate logistics, communications, and REACHER participation to ensure smooth execution.
  • Community Engagement & Awareness – Assist in implementing strategies that grow REACH’s presence and deepen community relationships, promoting long-term trust and engagement.
  • Donor & Partner Relations – Build and nurture connections with current and potential donors, charity partners, event providers, and businesses. Strengthen engagement through networking (face-to-face and online) to increase awareness and long-term support.
  • Stakeholder & Local Organization Communication – Act as a point of contact with local partners, REACHERS and organizations, supporting communication, resource sharing, and visibility for REACH campaigns.
  • Campaigns & Outreach Events Organize and deliver outreach activities such as fundraising challenges, workshops, team meetings and community events that align with REACH goals.
  • REACHERS & Community Network Management – Recruit, train, and support a network of REACHERS and community representatives, ensuring a structured and productive engagement.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration – Collaborate with internal teams to support program delivery, communication, and fundraising efforts related to REACH.
  • Innovative Outreach Strategies – Identify and implement new tools, platforms or methods to expand REACH’s community engagement and visibility.
  • Data & Impact Reporting – Maintain accurate records of REACH outreach and deployment activities. Provide input for reporting and reflection to support program improvement.
  • Policy Adherence & Compliance – Support compliance with health and safety, fundraising, safeguarding and data protection standards.
  • Capacity-Building & Professional Development – Participate and seek training and learning opportunities to grow skills in outreach, engagement and program delivery.
  • Adaptability & Organizational Growth – Contribute flexibility to organizational priorities, responding to evolving needs and supporting the wider goals of REACH.
  • Promote & Uphold Best Practices – Adhere to ethical guideline, safeguarding principles, and organizational standards to ensure high-quality, respectful engagement with all stakeholders.

Deployments – Work with internal departments as well as Human Appeal country offices and partners to support the organising of deployments
