Job summary

Rangam in Canada (Consumer Health) seeks a Manager to Senior Manager level Communications professional to lead end-to-end PR and brand communications initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have progressively senior Communications/PR experience, preferably with both PR agency and in-house communications experience within the CPG/FMCG industry, with strong experience in the Canadian market and the ability to operate effectively within a large, complex organization.

Qualifications

• Progressive PR/communications experience at manager or senior-manager level.

• Strong understanding of the Canadian market and large organizational dynamics.

Job description

Manager to Senior Manager level. The role is an end-to-end Communications position supporting Canada's Consumer Health business.

Ideal candidates will have progressively senior Communications/PR experience, preferably with both PR agency and in-house communications experience within the CPG/FMCG industry, with strong experience in the Canadian market and the ability to operate effectively within a large, complex organization.

The primary focus is PR and Brand Communications, working closely with the Marketing team to build and protect brand reputation. The ideal candidate would have PR agency experience and a broad portfolio of consumer brand work, with strong experience in media relations, brand PR, and developing PR campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end PR and brand communications initiatives.

Develop strategies that strengthen brand and corporate reputation.

Manage media relations and PR efforts for consumer brands.

Support issues management, risk management, and crisis communications, including situations where a story or issue becomes viral online.

Lead internal communications and employee engagement, including company emails, newsletters, intranet content, and Town Hall meetings.

Support senior leaders with communications and presentations.

Develop strong written communications and messaging — excellent writing skills are non-negotiable.

Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations for leadership and business stakeholders.

Support social media and digital communications; experience here is an asset.

• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Commercial, and other teams.
