Job summary

Air Borealis in Makkovik is seeking Ramp Attendants to load and unload aircraft in accordance with the Ground Handling manual. You will ensure the proper equipment is available, perform daily equipment inspections, and maintain logs for delays and serviceability.

The role requires flexible shifts, a clean record, TC clearance eligibility, and a valid driver's license. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support operations and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including short-notice coverage.
  • Must have a clean certificate of conduct and be able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times.

Responsibilities

  • Load/unload Air Borealis/charter/contracted aircraft per Ground Handling manual.
  • Ensure equipment is available to offload/load passengers and cargo.
  • Complete daily inspection of ground handling equipment.
  • Maintain the occurrence log with delays, serviceability, etc.
  • Comply with Health and Safety policies.
  • Communicate with customers to determine needs.
  • Process cargo for shipping and handle pickup/delivery as required.
  • Perform general office duties as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Air Borealis is currently seeking qualified applicants for Ramp Attendants in Makkovik.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To load/unload all Air Borealis/Charter/contracted aircraft in accordance with the loading and unloading instructions contained within the Ground Handling manual
  • Ensure appropriate equipment is available to facilitate the offloading and loading of passengers and cargo
  • Complete the daily inspection of all ground handling equipment
  • Maintain the occurrence log on a daily basis annotating all relevant information regarding aircraft delays, equipment serviceability etc.
  • Comply with the relevant Health and Safety policies
  • Communicate with customers to determine needs
  • Process cargo for shipping and perform pick-up and delivery of cargo as required
  • Perform general office duties as required
  • Other duties as assigned
