Executive Flight Centre Group Ltd in Edmonton is seeking a part-time Ramp Lead to support airport operations. This internal promotion opportunity requires availability for a 4-day/1-weekend rotation (A/M and P/M shifts) at the Edmonton main terminal.

The Ramp Lead will direct ramp activities, mentor ramp staff, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with Passenger Service Agents for smooth operations. A strong teamwork ethic and ability to work in varying weather are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid class 5 driver’s license required.
• Airport Security Clearance and Driver’s Abstract required.
• Obtain restricted radio license within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Able to work inclement weather and extended shifts.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

Edmonton main terminal location is seeking a part-time Ramp Lead to support our diverse airport operations. This is an internal promotion opportunity.

The successful candidate must be available to work a shift rotation of 4 weekdays and 1 weekend, A/M and P/M shifts.

Description

The Ramp Lead is responsible for supporting all ground handling operations; they are accountable for ensuring all policies and procedures are followed in the ramp operation. Ramp Leads act as the first point of contact for all Ramp Agents on shift and are responsible for communicating and escalating issues to Supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for directing all ramp activities including; aircraft parking positions, flight lead assignments, and passenger movement.
• Ensure adherence of corporate, departmental and OH&S policies and procedures.
• Direct, plan, prioritize and organize day to day ramp operations effectively, delegating tasks appropriately and efficiently to the Ramp Agents.
• Follow Ground Operations Manual to administer company’s policies and procedures effectively providing excellent role modeling, leadership and setting the highest standard of performance.
• Provide training, guidance and mentorship to ramp staff in operational requirements for aircraft and ramp functions.
• Marshall, chock, load and unload aircraft.
• Ramp services, including operations and maintenance of ground service equipment.
• Groom aircraft, including lavatory and potable water.
• Direct passengers on the apron as instructed by Passenger Service Agents.
• Function as Flight Lead and collaborate with Passenger Service Agents to ensure smooth ramp operations.
• Ensure correct baggage loading information is given to each aircraft, including any ballast concerns.
• Operate all ground service equipment.
• Perform audits on handling, safety and security as required including involvement in implementation regarding cargo and aircraft handling.
• Provide award-winning ground handling services including building quality relationships with customers.
• Make sure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution.
• Troubleshoot issues within the ground handling process.
• Responsible to clean all company vehicles, GSE equipment and Fuel Trucks.
• Back-up/support Aircraft Refuelers and/or Line Technicians as required.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
• Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
• Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
• Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in the aviation industry in a similar role would be an asset.
• A valid class 5 driver’s license is required – No Graduated Driver’s License permitted.
• Airport Security Clearance and Driver’s Abstract is required as a condition of employment.
• Obtain a restricted operator’s certificate (radio license) within 60 days of employment.
• First Aid and CPR would be an asset.
• Able to work inclement weather, overtime and extended shifts.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to lift or move up to 60 lbs independently.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Highly motivated and able to work with minimal or no supervision.
• Basic mathematics, trouble shooting skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
• A strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent.
• Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
