Job summary

Canadian Pacific Railway is seeking a Labourer to help maintain a clean, safe shop environment in Port Coquitlam, BC. The role supports daily operations through general cleaning, basic maintenance, and organized work areas to ensure hazard-free conditions and safety compliance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of experience around heavy equipment. The position is full-time and unionized, located in Port Coquitlam.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 1 year experience working on or around heavy equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand safety instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Empty garbage and recycling; replace liners; dispose of waste materials.
• Clean, sweep, and maintain shop floors and work areas for safety.
• Remove snow, ice, and debris from entrances and surrounding areas.
• Pressure wash and clean maintenance bays, shop floors, machinery, and vehicles.
• Maintain clean, organized shop facilities per safety and environmental standards.
• Identify and report hazards and housekeeping concerns.
• Assist with general shop maintenance to ensure readiness and efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
