Alstom is seeking a POS Design Engineer to design and deliver power supply solutions for rail electrification projects in Toronto. You will create design drawings, align interfaces, and deliver BIM deliverables while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to meet milestones.

The ideal candidate has a electrical engineering degree with 2–3 years of railway experience, strong CAD/BIM skills, and knowledge of CSA/AREMA/IEC standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferred on railway.
• Good knowledge and practice of CAD and BIM tools for design and modeling.
• Good knowledge and understanding for the standards, norms and good practice in North America and Canada (CSA, AREMA, etc.).
• Good knowledge and understanding for International Standards, norms and practice (IEC, EN, etc.).
• Good knowledge and practice for electrical tools such as ETAP, CYME, etc. or equivalent tools.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Create and review basic and detailed design drawings for power supply systems.
• Integrate technical interface requirements from multiple stakeholders to ensure system compatibility.
• Prepare BIM-format deliverables to align with digital project standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project milestones are met.
• Support the POS Design Leader in technical decision-making and compliance validation.
