Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Services Safety Manager to lead railway safety governance across regions, driving the Safety Management System and ensuring compliance. The role provides expert guidance to regional and project teams to deliver strong safety performance.

Responsibilities include defining central safety rules, KPIs, risk assessment methodologies, and ensuring consistency with evolving regulatory requirements. A senior, cross‑regional leadership presence is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Training/Transportation/EHS degree or equivalent; 10–15 years in senior railway operations.
• 5+ years on critical projects regarding railway safety and train operations.
• Experience in transversal or international leadership roles within operating railway companies or infrastructure managers.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive safety standards and governance across the organization.
• Define central SMS framework for all regions.
• Oversee safety performance, risk controls, and incident management processes.
• Develop and maintain central methodologies for risk assessment (FMEA, CSM‑RA, hazard logs, Risk Registers).
• Provide expert safety guidance to regional teams and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
