Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Toronto is seeking an on-site MEP Field Specialist to lead daily Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities for the Ontario Line project. You will oversee contractor execution, perform quantity verification, and ensure safety and quality across all MEP work packages.

You will report to the MEP Project Manager, coordinate with planning teams, and provide timely updates. A rail/metro background and strong BIM/CAD skills are highly valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or international equivalent).
• 2–5 years of relevant MEP experience, or 6–9 years of relevant MEP work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience supporting Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction activities; rail/metro project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-side approvals and on-site oversight of MEP work plans.
• Oversee daily MEP activities ensuring quality and safety.
• Coordinate MEP work packages and interface with planning teams.
• Manage MEP quantities, progress reporting and handover readiness.
• Ensure safety, quality control and documentation.
