Job description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient & staff safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous improvement in quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

The Radiological Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned and performing diagnostic procedures independently or in collaboration with a radiologist or other physician. The role involves applying radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff, and the public, along with completing documentation and administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience

Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist. Graduation from an approved radiology technology program. Eligibility for CAMRT membership.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
