Job summary

VCA Canada with Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology RVT in Calgary, AB. You will join a team of specialists and have access to cutting-edge veterinary medicine in a renowned Cancer Centre.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in Alberta.
• Minimum of two years' RVT experience, preferably in emergency or referral settings.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring in dogs and cats.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage appointments, records, invoicing, prescriptions, and discharges.
• Prepare patients, set up equipment, monitor anesthesia, assist with radiation therapy and CT.
• Provide inpatient care, diagnostic work‑up and monitoring of critically ill patients.
• Organize daily flow of services, clients and treatments.
• Communicate regularly with clients and referring hospitals.
• On‑call surgery coverage to develop anesthesia skills.
• Contribute to delivering world‑class veterinary care and patient outcomes.
