Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide various support services to Trainers, Horses, Jockeys/Drivers during live racing.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides racing related services to Horse owners, trainers, jockeys/drivers and horses such as ensuring tack, silks, equipment, and ice are in order and are distributed in an effective and efficient manner.
• Ensures that work related schedules are maintained.
• Ensures adherence to all related policies and procedures and safety measures.
• Reports discrepancies or occurrences to the appropriate personnel
• Ensures general care and maintenance of related equipment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Basic to general knowledge of horses, horse racing industry and related regulations.
• Basic to general knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
• Basic knowledge of exceptional customer service practices.
• General oral communication skills.
• General riding and managing/controlling horse behaviour and horse handling skills
• Minimum secondary school education
• Minimum 3 years practical experience in a similar environment.
