McGill University in Montreal invites applications for a Winter 2027 course EDER 372-001: Culture and Citizenship in Quebec Context (Secondary).

Teaching methods and pedagogical resources for ethics and culture in the secondary school, with emphasis on the Quebec Education program (QEP) and ERC program. Appointment dates span Dec 21, 2026 to Mar 5, 2027; strong teaching experience in Quebec’s secondary system is expected. English-language teaching and merit-based hiring apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; exceptional circumstances may be considered.
• A teaching degree or equivalent is required.
• Expert knowledge of course content and secondary ethics and religious pedagogy.
• Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP) including ERC program.
• Familiarity with the Ministère de l’Éducation’s 13 professional competencies.
• Experience teaching in the Quebec secondary school system.
• Previous successful experience teaching similar courses to pre-service teachers.
• Commitment to working with a team of instructors.
• Must attend course coordination and planning meetings at least 2 weeks before start.
