Job summary

Amrize Canada Inc. is seeking a Quarry Lead Hand to oversee and operate the crushing plant, focusing on health and safety while achieving maximum productivity and cost efficiency.

The role involves hands-on engagement with maintenance, inspections, and feeding the plant with a wheel loader, across day and night shifts. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of quarry experience, an undergraduate degree or diploma, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of quarry experience.
• Undergraduate degree or college diploma required.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant's health and safety efforts to maximize productivity while minimizing costs.
• Lead daily huddles and participate in the JHSC.
• Coordinate with Quality and Shipping to resolve production issues.
• Oversee maintenance activities through short-term planning and execution.
• Ensure compliance with MNRF requirements and PPE protocols.
• Support shift scheduling to meet production demands.
