Photonic Inc. is seeking an Optical Packaging & Assembly Engineer in British Columbia to develop and test robust packaging and assembly procedures for photonic circuits, with high-precision alignment for optimal coupling and long-term stability.

You will design alignment methods and tooling, establish validation plans, and define scalable workflows to ensure repeatable manufacturing. You will collaborate with design, device, test, and manufacturing teams to apply DfX during early development.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or Master’s degree in physics, applied physics, packaging engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with integrated photonics and optics.
• 3+ years of experience with photonic integrated circuits, semiconductor, optoelectronic, fiber optic, or related packaging design and qualification.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement optical packaging and assembly processes for integrated photonic devices with high-precision alignment for optimal coupling.
• Design and validate alignment methods and tooling to improve accuracy, throughput, and repeatability.
• Establish validation plans and characterize optical performance under operating conditions.
• Define scalable workflows, SOPs, and process controls for consistent manufacturing.
