Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor-Civil to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of QS activities (individually or as part of a team) on assigned projects or programs. Experience with stadiums or large-scale public venues is preferred due to the specialized nature of such projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Measuring and pricing using contract drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
2. Handling all post-contract QS functions, including interim and final payments, variations, commercial and contractual correspondence, cash flows, and claims.
3. Advising on contractual matters and ensuring contractual requirements are complete and valid.
4. Providing advice on contractor’s resource allocation.
5. Auditing payments to contractors.
6. Ensuring prompt and complete submittal of valuations.
7. Checking and recording work done.
8. Preparing variations and day-works.
9. Monitoring final contract cost estimates and maintaining expenditure records.
10. Reviewing, negotiating, and preparing claim settlements.
11. Coordinating and monitoring team activities.
12. Preparing financial statements for monthly reports.
13. Performing other duties as appropriate for the position.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), with 5+ years of relevant experience involving typical QS activities.
• Knowledge of pre- and post-contract administration.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and logically with management and staff.
• Understanding of construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
