Senior Quantity Surveyor - Modular Construction - Swords, Dublin

Our client is a fast track modular construction contractor specializing in the healthcare, education, industry, construction, and leisure industries in the UK & Irish markets.

They are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work as part of the Senior Management team.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Senior QS will be responsible for all aspects of costs, including tendering, reporting, sub-contracts, etc.

You will be responsible for a team of 3 to 4 people and the tasks for this team include the following:

1. Tender Submissions
2. Claims Management
3. Sub-Contractor Management
4. Material take offs
5. Negotiating with suppliers on large ticket items
6. Monthly CVR reporting
7. Live Costs reporting
8. Measuring of civil works completed on site
9. Variations

Requirements:

1. Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
2. 4+ years’ experience working in the construction sector in a similar role
3. Liaise with the Commercial Manager and oversee a team of 3-4 direct reports
4. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
5. Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
