On‑site at our PrinceGeorge,VA facility. This role is to support a new factory in PrinceGeorge,VA (onsite) startup manufacturing large form‑factor equipment. The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up.
You will help build a culture of quality by performing inspections, identifying and containing issues before they reach the customer, and supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of quality controls. Through inspection, data analysis, problem‑solving, and collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams, you will play a key role in supporting the successful launch and growth of a world‑class manufacturing operation.
Perform in‑process and final inspections of assemblies, components, and materials as required to support production and quality objectives. Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring and test equipment. Verify products meet engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, processes, and products. Support containment activities, nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, and test data. Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement. Assist in developing and improving inspection procedures, quality plans, work instructions, and quality controls. Support internal audits, process audits, and quality system activities as required. Support factory startup activities, including process validation, training, and operational readiness. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Education High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
