Job summary

Price Industries Limited (Winnipeg facility) seeks a Quality Technician to support ISO 9001 quality systems, perform inspections, audits and data analysis. You will help improve quality standards, read drawings, and collaborate on corrective actions on the evening shift (4:00 PM–12:30 AM).

  • Familiar with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience in quality-related tasks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Measuring equipment knowledge is an asset.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in maintaining and improving ISO 9001 quality systems and related certifications.
  • Assisting with improving quality standards.
  • Owning and driving quality improvement projects as assigned.
  • Conduct internal quality audits.
  • Perform product/part inspections per drawings and standards.
  • Analyze, investigate and prepare technical reports for supplier quality issues or other quality issues.

The Quality Technician supports and enhances ISO 9001 quality management systems by conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement projects within a manufacturing environment. This position supports our evening production shift, and the hours of work will be Monday to Friday, from 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM.

The Successful Candidate's Responsibilities Will Include
  • Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of the quality systems required by ISO 9001 and other related certification.
  • Assisting with improving quality standards.
  • Taking responsibility and ownership of other quality improvement projects as assigned.
  • Conduct internal Quality Audits.
  • Conduct product/part inspections according to drawings and standards.
  • Conduct analysis, investigation and prepare technical report for supplier quality issues or other quality issues.
Qualities An Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience in a quality related skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Measuring Equipment knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft office including, excel, word, power point.
  • Ambition, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Passion for delivering high quality results.
  • Demonstrated strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
