Role Summary

The Quality Specialist 2 will perform routine activities to monitor and coordinate the project quality program. Responsibilities include reviewing documents, attending meetings, conducting walk-through inspections, and investigating non-compliant conditions, all supporting JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Participate in safety and quality plans, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment
  • Contribute to the Project Specific Quality and Water Intrusion Plans and the Project Quality Status Report
  • Document quality assurance processes, test results, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with suppliers to maintain quality standards for incoming materials
  • Review design documents to identify potential quality issues and assist with constructability reviews
  • Perform site observations to ensure work meets specifications and quality expectations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Attend pre-planning, pre-installation, and progress meetings
  • Conduct regular site walk-throughs to verify compliance and investigate non-compliance issues
  • Report Major Quality Issues and support corrective actions
  • Utilize quality assurance systems to prepare detailed reports
  • Assist with documentation of quality-related information and conduct basic constructability reviews
  • Support third-party compliance inspections and performance testing
  • Coordinate with various JE Dunn teams as needed
Additional Responsibilities

Ensure project-specific quality and water intrusion plans are established and updated, participate in creating national quality initiatives, monitor trade partner quality programs, and support larger or complex quality investigations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Perform work accurately, timely, and thoroughly
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and construction/quality software tools
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, codes, and technical data
  • Knowledge of material testing and construction assemblies
  • Build collaborative relationships within teams
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu
  • Minimum 2 years construction experience preferred
Working Environment
  • Lift up to 25 pounds, work non-traditional hours, travel as needed
  • Work in office and potentially extreme conditions, with activities including standing, walking, sitting, and reaching
