Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Brief Description

As the Quality Process Engineer here at Lundberg, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and productivity to meet our customer expectations and business objectives. You will work closely with quality assurance, manufacturing, and new product development teams to drive high standards in our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities

    • Utilize quality engineering principles to collect, analyze, and interpret in-process data, recommending actions to improve product quality and reduce costs.
    • Conduct risk assessments and manage issues with non-conforming products to ensure control, minimize losses, and prevent reoccurrence.
    • Attend new product plant trials and first production runs to ensure compliance with consumer quality standards and food safety requirements.
    • Implement and execute Statistical Process Control (SPC) programs to maintain consistent product quality across production lines.
    • Prepare monthly Product Quality Review (PQR) reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data for management.
    • Collaborate with Quality Systems and Innovation teams to update product specifications and ensure alignment with gold standards and manufacturing capabilities.
Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Food Science, Industrial Engineering or other related field
    • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, technical services, or operations within a food or beverage manufacturing environment
    • Technical aptitude for assessing capabilities of equipment.
    • Knowledge of Food Safety principles, allergen control, and sanitation standards associated with HACCP, GMP, SQF/GFSI, and FSMA.
    • Proficiency in using general lab equipment and Statistical Process Control methods.
    • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, and experience with technical software.
Preferred

    • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer.
    • HACCP certification.
    • Experience in agriculture and organic products.
