  • Salary range for Quality Lead between $80,000 and $98,000 CAD annually, based on experience

At our facility in Calgary, you can develop your full potential sustainably by applying your expertise within the Packaging team as the Quality Lead:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the plant’s quality assurance and food safety programs, including planning and executing internal and external BRCGS quality audits
  • Manage third-party service providers such as pest control, housekeeping, and sanitation to ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems using key performance indicators such as customer complaints, cost of quality, and Net Promoter Score to ensure products meet both internal standards and customer expectations
  • Oversee root cause analysis investigations and lead efforts to identify and eliminate underlying causes of quality issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production lines
  • Drive and monitor corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with supervisors and the Line Centric Team (LCT), providing necessary support to ensure their effectiveness
  • Communicate corrective actions and quality updates to the Sales and Customer Service departments to maintain alignment and transparency

Put forward your strengths:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging, cardboard, or paper industry
  • Actively seeks operational efficiencies through Lean principles and is committed to continuous, measurable improvement
  • Applies a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving; highly organized and results-driven
  • Confident and proactive both on the production floor and in meetings; fosters alignment, encourages buy-in, and leads with initiative and integrity
  • Builds trust with cross-functional teams and customers through clear communication, effective collaboration, and professional conduct
  • Certifications in quality systems (e.g., Six Sigma belts, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ISO 9001) are assets
  • Possession of food safety certifications such as SQF, BRCGS, or equivalent is an asset
  • Experience in managing food safety programs is an asset
