Job summary

Joe Johnson Equipment (JJE) in Ontario is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our in-shop, full-time team. You’ll perform safety inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty municipal equipment, Monday–Friday day shift, 42.5 hrs/week.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $40.00 to $45.00, a signing bonus up to $2,500, quarterly profit-sharing up to $1,500, and up to $3,000 in training bonuses, plus 100% employer-paid health insurance and vacation with

Qualifications

• Licensed technician with 310T or 421A certification.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean abstract.
• Safety-first mindset and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty municipal equipment.
• Work on vac trucks, hydro vacs, street sweepers, refuse/recycling trucks, and more.
• Collaborate with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure efficient service.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift | 42.5 hrs./week

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Valid 310T Truck & Coach or 421A Heavy Equipment Technician
