Job summary

Redpath Sugar Ltd. Belleville plant is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to manage finished product testing, maintain lab operations, and support food safety and quality programs.

The role involves rotating shifts to ensure 24-hour coverage and adherence to safety and quality standards. Qualifications include a chemistry or food science degree, at least two years in a similar role, and strong knowledge of lab practices, SAP, and statistical analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or food science is required or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and HACCP/ GLP principles a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality analyses (pH, moisture, acidity, sugar content) and record results.
• Maintain calibration and operation of lab equipment; report deviations.
• Prepare COAs and support internal quality audits and investigations.
