Labatt Breweries of Canada is seeking a Quality Intern for Labatt London Brewery. The 15-week program offers hands-on projects, onboarding, workshops, and opportunities for future full-time roles.

The internship emphasizes quality improvement, data analysis, and collaboration with production teams in a 24/7 brewing setting. Candidates are in the 2nd or 3rd year of a science-related degree, returning in Sep 2027, and eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a science-related bachelor’s program and returning to school in 2027.
• Graduating in December 2027 or later.
• Bilingualism is an asset (required in Quebec).
• Can legally work in Canada; 18+ in most regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a strategic quality improvement project focused on enhancing operational performance, process efficiency, and manufacturing excellence.
• Collaborate with managers, production teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand supply chain and manufacturing operations.
• Analyze quality and operational data, maintain records, and test in-process and finished products.
• Monitor QC processes, identify non-conformances, drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Gain exposure to quality systems, lab operations and working in a unionized manufacturing environment.

Education

Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related science

Returning to school September 2027

Graduating December 2027 or later

ROLE: Quality Intern

LOCATION: Labatt London Brewery, 5 days/week in office

SALARY: $25/Hour

INTERNSHIP SPECIFICATIONS

• Lead a strategic quality improvement project focused on enhancing operational performance, process efficiency, and manufacturing excellence.
• Collaborate with managers, production teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of supply chain, manufacturing operations, and how a 24/7 brewery delivers quality products to consumers.
• Analyze quality and operational data, maintain LIMS records, conduct routine testing of in-process and finished products, and provide insights to troubleshoot brewing and packaging quality issues.
• Monitor quality control processes by reviewing performance data and QC records, identifying non-conformances, and partnering with teams to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Gain exposure to quality systems, laboratory operations, team leadership, and working within a unionized manufacturing environment while building technical expertise in the production of Canada’s most iconic beers.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• In their 2nd or 3rdyear of an Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree, studying Food Science, Microbiology, or any science related field, and returning to school in September 2027.
• Graduating in December 2027 or later
• Bilingualism is an asset (Required in Quebec)
• Can legally work in Canada
• Of legal drinking age (18+ in AB, MN & QC and 19+ everywhere else)
• Geographical & Functional mobility for your future Full-time position is a requirement – open to experiencing different functions and locations across Canada
