Job summary

CoFoMo Inc. in Montreal is seeking a senior Quality Assurance professional to lead testing across large, complex projects. You will define strategies, monitor execution, and collaborate with stakeholders in French and English.

The role requires 10+ years of QA experience, proficiency with Jira and Xray, and strong coding knowledge (Java, Python). You will work with CI/CD, GitHub, AWS, and AI tools to boost delivery velocity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of QA experience on large, complex projects.
• Proficient with Jira and Xray test management.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Python.
• Familiar with IntelliJ and VS Code.
• Experience with APIs, microservices and validation tools like Bruno and Rest Assured.
• Knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD/CT, GitHub Actions and DevOps practices.
• Good knowledge of AWS infrastructure and at least AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
• Master generative AI tools including GitHub Copilot to optimize testing.
• Fluent in French and English for daily tasks and communication.

Here’s a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you’ll have :

• Work with stakeholders to define, implement and monitor testing strategies for large, complex projects;
• Ensure stakeholder alignment to ensure that the necessary testing phases for deliveries are prepared and run smoothly;
• Implement test management tools, track testing activities and elevate issues by proposing appropriate solutions;
• Ensure the quality of deliverables, timeliness and risk management of testing activities;
• Propose and influence the evolution of practices, processes, strategies for automating tests and the use of artificial intelligence;
• Support teams and specialists in quality assurance in the implementation and adoption of automated testing solutions to improve delivery velocity.

The profile you are looking for is as follows:

• Have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in quality assurance on large, complex projects;
• Proficient in test management tools such as Jira and Xray;
• Have an excellent knowledge of one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Java and Python;
• Commonly use development environments such as IntelliJ and VS Code;
• Be familiar with related APIs, microservices, and validation tools such as Bruno and Rest Assured;
• Understand the principles of source code management with GitHub as well as CI/CD/CT, GitHub Actions, and DevOps practices;
• Have a good knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services and a minimum AWS Cloud Practitioner certification;
• Master the use of generative artificial intelligence tools, including GitHub Copilot, to optimize activities;
• Demonstrate rigor, great attention to detail and a strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams;
• This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada.

French and English language skills are essential, both oral and written.
