Job summary

Freudenberg Flow Technologies Inc. in Canada is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify components against drawings and specifications, document measurements, and ensure traceability. You will review customer orders, release work orders, and support QA with nonconforming material analysis.

Ideal candidates have GD&T knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and experience in rubber manufacturing. Proficiency in MS Office and ISO quality systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience measuring devices ( Vernier, dial and digital calipers, micrometers, steel rules, pin, radius, angle and thread gages, height gages, surface plate, laser mics, vision equipment, force gage, etc.) to check and verify product conforms to customer and company standards before release.
• Three or more years of experience in rubber manufacturing and molding is considered an asset.
• Ability to read and decipher engineering blueprints and CAD drawings
• Knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) drawings.
• Experience working within a quality system, ISO 9001 or API quality system.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all components which require Quality Control validation through the practices associated with measuring are within specifications noted on Drawings, BOMs, Work Orders and Customer Purchase Orders.
• Document results of measurements during validation using internal dimensional inspection form and acceptable measuring devices
• Comprehend drawing dimensions and tolerance levels
• Provide effective records and analysis of nonconforming production and engineering to provide the basis for quality improvement and cost reduction
• Analysis and measurements on incoming materials and components
• Assure timely completion of customer part certification requirements
• Generate Nonconformance Material Reports
• Verify that all operations and inspection steps have been completed in accordance with the instructions on the Work Order and/or other customer specifications
