STATUS: Hourly – Bargaining Unit CLOSING DATE: 2025.06.30Contract (6 months)
SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all fabricated and welded products meet established quality standards. This includes inspecting fabrication parts, semi assembled, Weld parts, assembled parts, and finished products using CF, gauges and visual inspection methods. The nonconforming product is reported to the QE’s, Quality manager and communicated to the operations team.
ROLE:- Responsible in following up with CF Preventive Maintenance, reporting the issues observed to ensure CF’s are kept in good working conditions
- Learn the shop floor inspection plan, Visual Aids, fixture instructions and apply in inspection tasks
- Assist with disposition of non-conforming material.
- Perform process audits as required.
- Keep nonconforming product separate with proper HOLD / Rework labels
- Work with QE on containers, reworks to evaluate the quality of the products
- Assist in the training of production operators on how to use CF’s
- Act as a quality resource for production and engineering groups.
- Perform receiving Inspection/ audit as required
- Performs all other duties assigned by the manager.

REQUIREMENTS:- Minimum 2 years previous experience in inspection and quality environment
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings and other manufacturing documents
- Must have experience in quality inspection, audit and metal fabrication processes
- Computer skills are an asset
- Require Lift truck license (department dependent)
- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education
- Fluent in English
VACANCIES: 1 Day Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm)RATE: $23.33- Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following a 60 working days probationary period
