Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of incoming materials and finished products.
  • Review plans, schedules, blueprints, and specifications to understand design requirements.
  • Ensure procedures are in place to meet quality standards.
  • Conduct detailed final inspections prior to shipment and document non-conformances.
  • Record inspection findings and compile reports and performance records.
  • Monitor quality control and ensure standards and metrics are met.
  • Educate production teams on quality control processes and standards.

Position Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet established engineering and quality standards before reaching customers. This role conducts inspections, reviews technical documentation, and supports continuous improvement across production processes. The ideal candidate brings strong problem‑solving abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of quality principles within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing assessments on incoming materials.
  • Reviewing plans, schedules, blueprints, and specifications to understand the design requirements of products.
  • Ensuring that procedures are set to achieve quality standards.
  • Performing detailed final inspections of products prior to shipment, including the documentation and reporting on non-conformances. Ensuring final products meet all engineering standards.
  • Documenting inspection findings and completing reports and performance records.
  • Ensure quality control and technical standards are adhered to and performance metrics are met.
  • Educating the production team on quality control processes, concerns, and standards of product quality.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to apply sound knowledge and best practices of quality principles.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient problem solving and critical decision‑making skills.
  • Experience in a metal fabrication facility will be considered an asset.
