Our Client, a Food Product Manufacturer company, is looking for a Quality & Food Safety Specialist for their Newmarket, ON location.
Responsibilities:
- Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
- Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes decisions based on factual information
- This is typically a Assignment with significantly more authority and responsibility at this Assignment level. It should be selected to recognize differences which are not enough to be represented by a separate Assignment level, such as increased proficiency in skills/competencies to perform responsibilities, greater impact to the business unit, customer, segment, geography, etc. May also provide guidance or leadership to other Associates.

- Delivers value and growth by driving product quality, assuring consumer safety and promoting efficiency based on robust science while developing consumer-relevant products, process and packaging.
- Quality Food Safety
- Assure the production of high quality products that meet consumer expectations, Client standards and food regulations. Discovery and adoption of new techniques and methods that will enhance food safety globally. Development of food safety standards, contributing where appropriate to government food safety knowledge and understanding. Respond to new challenges in food safety.
Requirements:- Education, Licenses, Cert Requirements: BS degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering or related technical field
- 3 years of food manufacturing experience in a responsible position related to food safety or Quality and food safety management system and or a combination of education and 5+ years demonstrated success in relevant field

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in leading a team
