The Quality Engineer ensures that products meet customer expectations, oversees quality control, and ensures products comply with standards and specifications. This role demands strong leadership skills, and the ability to analyze data and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
Customer Satisfaction :
- Ensure customer satisfaction, address any customer concerns professionally and promptly, and protect the company’s (PES) best interests.
- Monitor the customer portal to ensure the company’s rating reflects a fair score.
Quality Systems and Quality Engineering
- Drive the 8D process to address internal and external issues.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to develop suppliers that meet the company’s requirements, ensuring the quality of incoming materials; work with suppliers and vendors to meet established quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality management systems, control processes, procedures, and policies to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Perform audits of quality control processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze data related to quality control processes, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Manage and maintain quality control documentation, ensuring all records and reports are accurate and current.
Team Work and Team Building
- Communicate with other teams, departments, and stakeholders to align quality control processes with business objectives.
- Train team members on quality control processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products or services, integrating quality control processes into development.
Reporting Structure :
- Reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

- Number of Customer Complaints: Drive complaints to zero.
- 8D Response Rate: Ensure responses within customer requirements.
- Scrap Rate: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce scrap rate.
- Cost of Quality: Work to reduce internal and external quality costs.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of proven shop floor manufacturing engineering experience within the automotive industry.
- Excellent analytical skills to analyze data and identify trends.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction at all levels.
- Attention to detail to identify and resolve issues swiftly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking for innovative solutions.
