Job summary

TD Bank is seeking a senior QA professional for Treasury Technology’s data platform. The QA III leads end-to-end quality engineering strategy, governance, and automation across the platform, partnering with stakeholders to deliver enterprise-scale quality.

You will leverage AI-driven testing, define metrics, and drive release quality in a cloud data environment using Databricks, ADF, and Azure. The role requires strong automation, data-quality focus, and the ability to influence delivery

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline; or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong academic background with software engineering or computer science.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in quality engineering for data platforms.

Department Overview

Treasury Technology within TD Data is building a modern enterprise data platform on Microsoft Azure, leveraging technologies such as Databricks, ADLS, ADF, and Airflow to enable scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

Role Overview

The QA III would be a senior role responsible for leading end-to-end quality engineering strategy and execution across the platform. The role requires developing and leading test governance, automation strategy, and release quality, with a focus on driving enterprise-scale quality outcomes. The successful candidate will leverage advanced automation and AI-driven testing approaches to improve platform stability, partner with senior stakeholders, and define metrics and KPIs to measure quality maturity and adoption.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead and evolve QA strategy, standards, and governance across the platform
• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for data platforms
• Drive integration of testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Establish data quality validation and control frameworks
• Define and oversee quality KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement
• Leverage AI/GenAI capabilities to enhance test coverage and efficiency
• Provide leadership and direction across teams, influencing stakeholders and delivery outcomes

Experience and/or Education

BS degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline; or equivalent practical experience Strong academic background (e.g., software engineering, computer science) 5-7 years of relevant experience

Preferred Certifications

• ISTQB Advanced (Test Manager / Automation)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in test automation for cloud data platforms
• Proficiency in: Python-based testing (PyTest, unittest)
• Data quality tools (Great Expectations, dbt tests)
• API testing (Postman / RestAssured)
• Experience with Databricks, ADF pipelines, and Azure ecosystem
• CI/CD and cloud-native testing practices
