Job summary

TD is seeking a Software Engineer II in the Pricing Product Group in Downtown Toronto. You will design, develop, and maintain pricing-related software, collaborating with analysts, product owners, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality, secure solutions.

You will contribute to modernization, reliability, and security of enterprise pricing platforms, participating in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications.
• Full stack Java development experience.
• NodeJs, Oracle database familiarity.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and modern software development practices.

Department Overview

At TD, the Pricing Product Group (Pricing PG) delivers and supports critical Pricing platform that help drive business decisions across multiple Lines of Businesses within the enterprise. Our team partners closely with technology, product, risk, and business stakeholders to build reliable, scalable, and secure applications that support Pricing capabilities and strategic initiatives.

As a Software Engineer II, you'll join a collaborative team of Engineers, Analysts, Testers and Product partners focused on delivering high-quality technology solutions that create business value. Your work will contribute directly to the modernization, stability, security, and continuous improvement of enterprise Pricing platforms.

What You’ll Do

As a valued member of the Pricing PG team, you will:

Build and Enhance Solutions

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting pricing and business capabilities.
• Deliver high-quality code and technical solutions that meet functional, performance, and security standards.

Collaborate Across Teams

• Partner with business analysts, product owners, architects, and fellow engineers to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to planning, estimation, and delivery activities.

Improve Reliability and Quality

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues while supporting production stability and operational excellence.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing practices, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Drive Secure Engineering Practices

• Support application vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with enterprise technology and security standards.
• Embed secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Grow and Innovate

• Continuously enhance your technical skills and contribute ideas that improve team productivity, application performance, and customer outcomes.

Where You’ll Work

You will primarily work from a TD office location in Downtown Toronto and collaborate with your team through a combination of in-person and virtual interactions. The hiring manager will provide additional details regarding team-specific work arrangements, office attendance expectations, and collaboration requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications.
• Full stack Java development experience.
• NodeJs, Oracle database familiarity
• Experience with object-oriented programming and modern software development practices.
• Experience working with source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise applications within financial services or other regulated environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, API development, and modern application architecture patterns.
• Experience with software security practices, vulnerability remediation, and application resiliency initiatives.
• Familiarity with DevOps, automation, and monitoring tools.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production applications.
