Qualifications

VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company (https://www.lg.com/global/mobility) of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG's proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.


As the Quality Engineer II you will:


Responsibilities:



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction

  • Utilize statistical tools and creative thinking to analyze warranty and plant claims, driving effective corrective actions

  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure timely and thorough implementation of corrective measures

  • Coordinate and manage process changes with customers to enhance product quality and efficiency

  • Collaborate with Accounting, Sales, and Materials teams to address external failure costs

  • Lead the analysis of customer-reported failures to identify potential root causes

  • Perform hardware/software analysis, including DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) analysis, bench test confirmation, log capture, and PCB component investigations

  • Conduct in-vehicle testing and detailed analysis, including travel to OEM sites as needed

  • Manage weekly customer product development team meetings, providing updates on quality-related issues

  • Oversee on-site liaison activities to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving

  • Manage quality processes and procedures to ensure the shipment of high-quality products

  • Supervise a local inspection facility conducting product quality testing

  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive electronics, specifically ECU testing and system-level integration

  • Bilingual - Korean / English

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Technical knowledge in automotive electronics, including ECU testing and system-level integration

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, intermediate-level MS Office)

  • Experience with Product Failure Mode and Root Cause Analysis (both Software and Hardware)


Travel Requirements:



  • Approximately 30% travel, including out-of-state and international travel

  • Physical Activities: Involve X-ray and chamber usage, as well as lifting boxes weighing up to 20 pounds


Preferred:



  • Prior exposure to logging tools such as QXDM, QPST, Wireshark, VehicleSpy, or CANalyzer

  • Experience or knowledge of large-scale production lines, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and process control

  • Knowledge of statistical and problem-solving tools like Minitab, PowerBI, Six Sigma, 8D, etc

  • American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification as a Certified Quality Engineer
