Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Quality Engineer in Canada to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of critical applications through automated testing. You will expand end-to-end and API test coverage, work with JavaScript/TypeScript in Node.js environments, identify defects, and help drive testing strategy and best practices across the SDLC.

Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and overall product

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, automation practices, regression testing, and QA principles.
• Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and improving automated testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress, WebDriverIO, and Karate testing tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with ability to investigate issues and identify effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites using tools such as Cypress and WebDriverIO.
• Build and maintain API automation tests using Karate to validate application functionality and integrations.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript and TypeScript within Node.js-based environments.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Contribute to automation, regression, and performance testing strategies, planning activities, and quality best practices.
• Continuously improve automated test coverage, reliability, maintainability, and execution efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and promote consistent quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to support reliable and high-quality releases.
