Job summary

Mphasis in Toronto is seeking a Quality Automation Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our fintech team building next-generation banking products. You will lead end-to-end automation efforts and ensure robust API and web testing.

You will develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript, Pytest, and integrate with Jenkins and SauceLabs. Strong collaboration with developers and QA in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in web test automation (Playwright/Cypress) and API automation.
• Hands-on Python with Pytest for test automation.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, Confluence, GitHub and Agile methodologies.
• Fintech or payments domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual, API, and web testing for new features.

We're looking for a Quality Automation Engineer with 6+ years of experience skilled in Playwright with Typescript & API testing to join our team building next-generation banking products.

• This role requieres 5 days on site at the office in Toronto, Canada (Mandatory)
• Full Time and Contractor

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual, API, and web testing for new features.
• Develop and maintain E2E automated tests using Playwright/Cypress, Pytest, Jenkins, and SauceLabs.
• Execute API and web automation during sprint releases and maintain regression suites.
• Design test plans, test cases, and automation strategies; analyze test results and report defects.
• Develop API tests and database validations using Python (Pytest).
• Manage testing activities and defect tracking in Jira/Xray, ensuring timely project delivery.

Key Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in Web (Playwright/Cypress) and API Automation
• 5+ many years of hands-on experience using Python with Pytest for test automation.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, Confluence, GitHub, and Agile methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and API testing.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
• Fintech or Payments industry experience is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Appium (Mobile Automation).
• Python with Pyest
• AWS, Grafana, Kibana, SauceLabs.
• Prior experience of Payments system.
