Job summary

Pacer Group seeks a Quality Engineer (QE) / SDET to validate our AI chatbot solutions in a hybrid contract role in Toronto. You will design and implement test strategies, build automation, and ensure robust AI safety and response accuracy across APIs and microservices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in QA/Automation, strong programming in Java/Python/Groovy, and hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, and CI/CD pipelines. 6–12 month contract with 40–45 CAD/hr +HST.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Engineering, QA Automation or SDET.
• Strong programming in Java, Python or Groovy.
• Hands-on test automation framework development and maintenance.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, RestAssured, JUnit, TestNG.
• Proficiency in API, functional, integration, regression and database testing.
• Experience testing AI chatbots, LLMs or Generative AI apps.
• Knowledge of prompt validation, hallucination detection and AI safety.
• Experience with API automation, microservices and third‑party integrations.
• CI/CD integration experience with Jenkins, Git or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of BDD, TDD, ATDD and Agile methods.
• Nice-to-have: JMeter, ReadyAPI and performance testing.

Job Title: Quality Engineer (QE) / SDET – AI Chatbot Validation

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6-12 Months

Rate – 40-45/hr incorporated +HST

Experience Required 5+ Years

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, QA Automation, or SDET.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or Groovy.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, RestAssured, JUnit, and TestNG.
• Strong expertise in API, functional, integration, regression, and database testing.
• Experience testing AI chatbots, LLMs, or Generative AI applications.
• Knowledge of prompt validation, response accuracy, hallucination detection, AI safety, and response consistency.
• Experience with API automation, microservices, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of BDD, TDD, ATDD, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with JMeter, ReadyAPI, and performance testing is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
