Amrize in Alberta seeks a Quality Engineer-In-Training to support quality control of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. You will perform chemical and physical testing, troubleshoot equipment, and assist in quality projects across the plant.

The Quality Engineer-In-Training’s prime objective is to support and assist in the implementation of all activities related to quality control of incoming raw materials, in process materials, and finished products. These activities include but are not limited to chemical and physical testing of all products, troubleshooting of equipment and processes, and participation in implementation of quality related projects. The Quality EIT spends time in the field to gain understanding on the various processes that are influencing the quality of material at each stage of control, and is able to assist and recommend action to improve the system. The Quality EIT reports to the Quality Manager directly and assists in Quality improvement projects in the plant.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline
Required Work Experience: previous experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the cement industry
Required Training/Certifications: Registered EIT or eligible for registration as an EIT with APEGA
Travel Requirements: 5%
