Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking a Quality Coordinator in Canada to support project-specific quality plans, review ITPs, and ensure compliance with project specifications on site. You will lead QA/QC activities, participate in audits, and collaborate with the site team to drive quality and safety, aiming for continuous improvement across our construction projects.

This role requires an engineering or construction-related degree, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Support development of project-specific quality plans.
• Manage and coordinate ITP development for construction activities.
• Ensure ITPs are implemented effectively across scopes.
• Review submissions like fabrication drawings and materials for compliance.
• Support QA/QC activities including meetings, checklists, audits, and records.
• Participate in project and subcontractor audits and coordinate responses.
• Perform daily site inspections and act as a quality resource for the site team.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000.

You as a Quality Coordinator will:

• Support the development of construction project-specific quality plans from the project site.
• Manage, review, and coordinate the development of Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs) for construction activities.
• Ensure ITPs are developed and implemented effectively for all applicable scopes of work.
• Review project submissions, such as fabrication drawings, mix designs, materials, and plans, to ensure compliance with the project specifications.
• Support quality control and quality assurance activities on the project including, but not limited to, QA/QC meetings, quality checklists, mock-ups, inspections and testing, quality records, deficiency management, and quality audits.
• Participate in Project Quality Audits and subcontractor audits including preparation for the audit and coordinating responses/actions to audit findings.
• Perform daily project site inspections and be a quality resource for site team.

Requirements:

• Engineering / other construction-related degree, or equivalent experience.
• General understanding of construction activities and working knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Strong time management skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to plan and organize work in a clear, concise, and punctual manner.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-directed, motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with quality management practices (e.g., ISO 9001 Standard) is an asset.
