Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking a Quality Coordinator to ensure construction quality across projects in Canada. The role focuses on maintaining quality standards, coordinating inspections, reviewing plans, and supporting continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with site teams to address NCRs, manage documentation, and assist audits of the Quality Management System, leveraging ISO 9001 practices. A engineering degree/diploma and two years’ construction experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree/diploma and two years of construction experience or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of quality control program requirements and ISO 9001 is advantageous.
• Familiarity with issue detection and corrective actions with site teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and update the Construction Quality Management Plan to promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in subcontractor pre-construction meetings, emphasizing quality expectations.
• Review and approve Subcontractor Quality Plans (SQPs) and Inspection & Testing Plans (ITPs).
• Schedule and oversee inspections conducted by consultants, clients, subcontractors, and testing agencies.
• Perform onsite field inspections, compiling quality reports, and capturing photographic documentation.
• Ensure project requirements are met by reviewing checklists, testing reports, and photographic evidence.
• Maintain and manage quality documentation, including material receiving reports for permanent works.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and deficiency processes to ensure corrective actions are tracked and resolved.
• Support and lead internal and external audits of the Quality Management System.
• Review and provide feedback on subcontractor documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.

You as a Quality Coordinator will:

Is this the right role for you? You have an engineering degree/diploma and two years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience. General understanding of construction activities and working knowledge of relevant codes and standards. You have a working knowledge of quality control program requirements and techniques. You have the ability to detect site issues and work in conjunction with the site team to rectify. Familiarity with quality management principles (e.g., ISO 9001) is advantageous.

Salary

$75,000-$85,000
