Job summary

BWXT Canada Ltd. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure compliance with BWXT’s quality program on Field Services projects. You will verify inspections, coordinate with Site Managers, Field Engineers, and Inspectors to uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires a post-secondary diploma in NDE or Quality Technology, 3–5 years of experience, and willingness to travel up to 70% including nights and weekends. Knowledge of ASME Code and CGSB/CWB certifications are assets.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in NDE or Quality Technology or related education.
• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
• CGSB Level 2 certification in Liquid Penetrant or other NDE methods is an asset.
• CWB Level 1 or 2 certification considered an asset.
• Strong NDE background with knowledge of inspection processes; familiarity with ASME Code preferred.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and radiation environments.
• Willing to travel up to 70% and work nights, weekends, and holidays; may require extended hours.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Undertake moderately complex technical assignments in support of activities in an ongoing quality program.
• Perform quality control duties on projects/sites, including monitoring of processes via MITPs.
• Ensure procedures are followed during project execution and verify training records.
• Perform NDE-related responsibilities in applicable environments.
• Assist with review and completion of Work Packages/History Dockets and with procedure/MITP reviews.
• Perform vendor source inspections as required.
